Hot-wash, whites, bedding, shirts and blouses –laundry is a complicated business. Not to mention down-filled jackets, suits or silk. Read on for our answers to FAQs.
Do I have to sort my laundry?
No, your laundry is sorted according to colour and textile type by our professional laundry personnel. All you need to do is put your machine washable laundry in the blue laundry bag. Anything that requires dry cleaning goes in the green laundry bag. If you only have shirts or blouses, simply place them in the pink laundry bag.
What happens if I’m not certain whether something can be machine washed?
Our professional laundry personnel know textiles. If there’s any uncertainty about an item of clothing, we will contact you before washing it to check what to do. You can also call us for assistance anytime when you’re packing your laundry bags or send us a message via our comment box, with or without a photo of the item of clothing in question.
Will my laundry be mixed with other people’s laundry?
No, your laundry is washed in separate washing bags and is never mixed with other laundry.
What type of laundry detergent is used?
Our laundry detergents meet the latest environmental standards and have all been dermatologically tested.
Can I choose my preferred laundry detergent?
Please contact us if you have a special detergent you would like us to use.
What type of fabric softener is used?
Our fabric softeners meet the latest environmental standards and have all been dermatologically tested.
Are the laundry detergents and fabric softeners suitable for people with allergies?
Our detergents and fabric softeners are dermatologically tested, but they are not specifically for persons with allergies. Please contact us if you have a special request.
How will my laundry be dried?
How your laundry is dried will be decided by our laundry specialists on a case-by-case basis. For example, terry cloth items are dried in a tumble dryer, other textiles are dried using a more gentle process or are hung up to dry. If you have special instructions, you can let us know anytime by telephone or by sending us a message via our comment box.
How do you ensure that nothing gets lost?
We handle your laundry with the greatest of care. Your laundry is washed and processed separately, so we can ensure that nothing goes missing. In addition, to help keep track of your clothing, it is tagged with a small label during the laundering process.
Do I have to pay extra for collection and delivery?
No, collection and delivery in the defined time slots is included in the price. You can have your laundry bag collected and picked up in following time slots from Monday to Friday:
Town of Zurich:
7.00 – 9.00 o'clock
12.00 – 14.00 o'clock
19.00 – 21.00 o'clock
Agglomeration Zurich:
19.00 – 22.00 o'clock
Town of Basel:
7.00 – 9.00 o'clock
12.00 – 14.00 o'clock
19.00 – 21.00 o'clock
Agglomeration Basel:
19.00 – 22.00 o'clock
Due to ecological reasons we cannot comply to specific time wishes.
What do I do if the specified time slots do not suit me?
So that you do not have to wait at home, you can order your collection on demand (collection within 30 minutes) in the urban areas of Zurich between 7.30 und 20.00 o'clock, in the urban areas of Basel between 7.30 und 19.00 o'clock This will cost you a small additional amount.
Alternatively you can deposit your laundry bag in a safe place for collection or have it deposited in a safe place for delivery. You can simply specify this in the delivery comments when placing your order online. TICK does not assume any liability in the case of theft.
Can I also bring and/or pick up my laundry?
If you have one of our pick-up stations close by you can bring and get your laundry bag during the stated times. All you have to do is place an order as usual, choose the option pick-up station in the address and remember the secret code. All the rest remains the same.
How can I find out if my zip code is serviced by TICK?
Simply state your zip code on the starting page. You will then see if we are already active in your area.
Can I have my laundry bag collected in one delivery area (e.g. Basel) and delivered to another one (e.g. Zurich)?
This cannot be done for logistical reasons.
Is there an express service if I need my laundry the next day?
Please contact us if you need your laundry earlier. The correct treatment and care of your laundry takes time. For example some spots have to be treated again after washing to guarantee a clean result.
How can I manage my addresses?
You can change your collection and delivery addresses in the category my account settings any time.
Can I change the the collection or delivery times after I have placed my order?
You can change the time slots of your orders in the order overview.
How can I cancel an order?
We of course regret if you want to cancel your order. But you can do it any time by giving us a call.
How is the price for the laundry bags L and S put together?
For the normal laundry you pay CHF 31.- for the large bag L and CHF 28.- for the small bag S independent of the filling. You pay an extra of CHF 2.50 per shirt and an extra of CHF 4.50 per blouse (blouses are ironed by hand).
How is the dry cleaning bag price put together?
The price of the dry cleaning is defined by the amount of garments. The individual prices are:

How is the price of the shirts and blouses bag put together?
The prices for shirts and blouses are defined by the amount of garments. The price for a shirt is CHF 4.50 the price for a blouse is CHF 6.50 (the blouses are hand ironed).
How is a blouse defined?
Blouses are the equivalent to shirts, have a collar, can have long or short sleeves and are buttoned through.
Is there a minimum order for the dry cleaning bag?
The minimum order for the dry cleaning bag is CHF 29.-. But if you want to just have one garment dry cleaned press "next" to continue the process. The extra amount will be rounded down on your credit card.
Is there a minimum order quantity for the shirts and blouses bag?
The minimum order quantity for the shirts and blouses bag is 6 shirts or 3 blouses or a minimum order of CHF 29.- if shirts and blouses are mixed.
Which are the accepted payment methods?
You can pay with Mastercard, Visa, Twint, Samsung Pay or Postfinance. Please contact us if you don’t have a credit card.
